Hello Everyone and Thank you for joining the Black Tulip Farms mailing list.
I am still in the process of tweaking the website and learning all of the computer applications to make it happen.
It has been a long hot summer and we are relived that the the cooler fall temperatures have arrived. The alpacas are especially happy about the cooler temperatures. They are spending more time out in the pastures rolling in the dirt and sunning themselves. The barn fans have been turned off after running 24/7 during the hot summer months. The sudden quiet in the barn is really noticeable.
Most of our pastures were dried up because of a lack of rain so we have plowed them up and replanted fescue grass seed that will be ready for spring grazing.
There are several fall classes scheduled here in Siler City. Please check the
Calendar of Events for details.
October 15, 2010 is Third Friday Art Walk in Siler City. Against His Will Gallery & Studio is hosting an open house studio for all crafters from 6-9 pm. Crafters are welcome to come with their crafts and projects to work on during the open studio hours. We are also organizing a charity knitting/crafting group to make items for the local Breast Cancer Outreach program.
Against His Will Gallery and Studio is located at 117 East Second St., Siler City.
